Family Day 2025
The annual Family Day of the Pattaya Orphanage in 2025 was organized on the Pattaya’s Wan Lai. On this occasion, all members of our home engaged in a traditional blessing ceremony as part of the Thai New Year celebrations. The blessing ritual began with the procession with our Lady Songkran and the traditional pedestal adorned with symbolic thread for binding the wrists of the blessed, moving from the main inner road close to the front gate to the ceremonial site. The Lady Songkran offered floral hand garlands to Fr. Michael Weera Phangrak, who presided over the observance. Our girls from both primary and secondary levels performed a traditional northeastern dance to honor all participants. Onto the palms of elders and special guests, participant poured water with petals and received blessings in return. Fr. Michael Weera Phangrak gave blessings in return at the end of the ceremony. In the afternoon, children enjoyed outdoor refreshments in between their fun play with water pistols, providing relief from the intense summer heat experienced this year, and enjoyed lunch and dinner together happily.. Thanks to all concerned for the organization of and participation in the memorable event..
..Mr. Olivier Micheloud, Birthday Boy and FAB member in Veyrier, Switzerland, for sponsoring the 2nd and 3rd meals for children and staff at the Pattaya Orphanage on the day Pattaya City held its annual water fights, following his first visit with his friend Patrick Chapuis on 04.01.2024 and the first dinner they sponsored on that occasion.
