Seeing Fr. Joe Off

It’s the day Rev. Francis Xavier Kritsada Sukkaphat, Deputy Director of the Pattaya Orphanage, traveled to Australia. Members of our home and the Sotpattana School for the Deaf gathered to send him off at the start of his journey from Pattaya. Then, our representatives wished him “safe journey” at Suvarnabhumi International Airport.. May God bless his journey and throughout the mission..

2nd I-Love-Reading

Sotpattana School for the Deaf organized the 2nd I-Love-Reading Activity for the second study term of Year 2024-2025 with the students moving around in the compound with their teachers while practicing the spelling of verbs on the flash cards posted in different spots.

Making Merit on Makha Bucha Day

Representatives of children and disabled persons from kindergarten level and older, accompanied by their child welfare teachers and caregivers of the Pattaya Orphanage, to make merit on the occasion of Makha Bucha Day 2025 at the Nong Ao Temple in Central Pattaya during the day. For the evening, children from primary school to university levels traveled Djittabhawan Temple in Bang Lamung to perform candlelight procession..

Well-Wishes for Fr. Joe’s Trip

Just before Rev. Francis Xavier Kritsada Sukkapha, or better known as Fr. Joe, leaves for Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia this week, members of the Pattaya Orphanage, our Sotpattana School for the Deaf, and some special guests, including members of St. Nikolaus Church Pattaya, gather to wish him safe journey and successful mission.. He will be upgrading his English skills while supporting the work of the Bishop of Toowoomba for about one year.. May God bless our deputy director the very best..

Accreditation of Teachers

Dr. Maurice K. Dimmock, International Education Consultant and Chair of Trustees of the Rose Education Foundation, spent a day overseeing International Education Accreditation Council (IEAC) observing the teaching methods in the normal classes of eight teaching personnel of Sotpattana School for the Deaf based on the accreditation standard of the IEAC. Thanks to Dr. Dimmock and the Rose Education Foundation for supporting our ongoing efforts to develop the teaching and learning process of our School

Touring Underwater World

Sotpattana School for the Deaf organized a study tour for the kindergartners to the Underwater World, an aquarium in Pattaya. The children became little adventurers and learned about the wider world in a fun underwater classroom. They got to touch and get up close with a variety of marine animals. Thanks to everyone, including some parents who went to help take care of their children.

Dental Care – Fluoride Treatment

The team from the Public Health Center, Naklua, Banglamung and Pattaya Patthamakhun Hospital, provided the annual dental check-up (dentistry) for 2025 to 84 preschool children under the care of the Pattaya Orphanage. The check-up included basic dental examinations and fluoride coating of teeth, led by Ms. Jirawan Duangkaew, a dental health officer. In addition, the team also screened for Hepatitis B and C, HIV, as well as breast, uterine, and intestinal cancers for 42 personnel. Thanks to all for your warm and efficient services..

Safety from Fire

The management of Central Pattaya shopping complex, led by Mr. Kwanchai Boon-Aree, General Manager, accompanied by his Safety & Security Department staff, contributed fire extinguishers to the Pattaya Orphanage and demonstrated the use of the equipment for our children and personnel..
