Marking this year’s Thai Children’s Day, the Prime Minister Settha Thavisin gave the motto: “Look at the wide world, Think creatively, Respect differences, Build democracy together”.. At the Pattaya Orphanage, we joined our Deaf School in a day of fun with outdoor games and a football match between the Green and Red teams. Comprising of kids from toddler’s age and older, disabled persons, and staff members, each team came in a creative parade and competed in 14 games from which the Green won the first prize. The Red team won the cheering contest, the parade, and the football game. For the afternoon, a giant inflatable castle with slider kept all the kids entertained. A group of older children also enjoyed painting the tiny plaster dolls. Our grateful appreciation to all benefactors, including the Concordian International School in Samut Prakan, adoptive families in Germany and Switzerland, Khun Maurice Dimmock, and some of the anonymous donors, for the support with all the expenses and special lunch and dinner..
