Wai Khru 2024

For the new academic year 2024, Sotpattana School organized a Wai Khru ceremony for students to express their respect to teachers.. Rev. Dr. Michael Weera Phangrak, Acting Licensee and Manager of the School presided over the observance with a total of 75 children, including preschoolers of the Pattaya Orphanage in attendance. School Director Angkhana Kamnoedtone, her teaching and staff personnel, and School board members, along with the Orphanage’s supervising teachers, caregivers, and expat teachers, were encouraged to be strong and joyful in their support to children’s development..

Trinetr at Junior AHF Cup 2024

As member of Thailand team in Women’s Junior AHF (Asian Hockey Federation) Cup Singapore 2024, Miss Trinetr played at the tournament held during 14-23 June 2024 at the Sengkang Sports Centre in Singapore and the national team brought home the bronze medal. Trinetr herself was named Player of the Match when the Thai team played against Hong Kong SAR team during the competition. Congratulations to Trinetr and the Thai women’s hockey team for the achievements! We are very proud of all of you.. May your strong will and perseverance continue to cause happiness to all concerned..

Close to Nature; Planting Flowers

Kids in KG 3 level in the care of the Pattaya Orphanage got closer to the nature through garden work and the planting of flowers, starting with the Common Purslanes or Moss Roses.. On the prepared garden beds, the group learned about the name, nature, and care of the flowering plant. They will look forward to seeing the flowers in a few weeks’ time..

1st Board Meeting in 2024

Sotpattana School for the Deaf organized its first executive board meeting for the academic year 2024 on Friday 14th June 2024 at the administrative meeting room of the Pattaya Orphanage with Rev. Fr. Michael Weera Phangrak presiding over the event. During their discussion, the board members also approved the annual subsidy for the school.

Comforting the Yodsuwans

The administration, staff personnel, and children of the Pattaya Orphanage and Sotpattana School for the Deaf, along with friends and the former colleagues of Khun Jaroon, offered prayers and sent positive energy to cheer the Yodsuwan Family up during the illness of Mrs. Suansawan and to comfort them at her passing on Monday 10th June 2024. Our representatives traveled to Phitsanulok province to join the funeral during the week and at the cremation on 13th June. May Mother Suansawan rest in peace.. May her loved ones go through this difficult time with courage..

Sprouting Beans

Preschool kids at the Pattaya Orphanage learned to propagate mung bean sprouts and ate the cooked products with pride and a better understanding of nature and well as the source of some of their daily foods..

Getting to Know Plants

Preschool kids at the Pattaya Orphanage got to know plants and vegetables in our garden during the outdoor session where they got closer to nature and learned about agriculture. The children used most of their senses with fun, esp. in hand weeding some of the plots and harvesting eggplants and morning glory for our kitchen to prepare dishes from the fresh produce..

A Fun-Filled Morning

Just before some older kids need to travel back to their boarding schools in preparation for the new academic year, a rainy but fun-filled morning was organized for all the children from preschool level up to vocational training. The three teams competed in three games, including Balloon-Belly Race, Balls Train, and Egg-Spoon Race by Teachers Nat and Marie. They were also competing freestyle in the Musical Chairs game. Everyone had a treat of Hokkaido Soft Cream served from the D Sunday mobile ice cream truck. Thanks to the organizers as well as the Malstrom Family in USA for the contribution towards this special stormy morning.
