Fried Minced Pork Toasts

Over the long weekend of the National Mother’s Day 2024, a group of older kids gathered to learn how to prepare deep fried minced pork toasts.. Guided by Teacher Nat, the team of cooks enjoyed the activity starting with the preparation of necessary equipment and ingredients, the techniques of making healthy snacks with little oil, the serving of the toasts to younger kids and department staff. They also had the opportunity to strengthen their relationship, esp. between kids in primary school and the older ones in colleges and universities. Marking Sr. Supattra’s Birthday

Feast Day of our First President

Representatives of children and staff members, led by Rev. Michael Weera Phangrak, Rev. Annual Staff Training 2024

Eighty-three staff members of the Pattaya Orphanage and Sotpattana School for the Deaf participated in the annual training with half for the morning session and the other half for the afternoon assembly. For both gatherings, attendants were briefed on the Vision and Mission of the foundation by Rev. Francis Xavier Kritsada Sukkaphat, Deputy Director of the Orphanage. The topic on Communication and Teamwork was given by Dr. Kittawan Sarai, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Work and Social Welfare at Huachiew Chalermprakiet University, Samut Prakan province. Creative Art in Ongoing Development

While preschool kids in levels 1 and 2 in the care of the Pattaya Orphanage are still in quarantine for another week to ensure everyone’s full recovery from the city-wide hand-foot-mouth infections, Teacher Tiew’s team constantly promotes the children’s development through art sessions both within the kindergarten building and outdoor. Through imaginative drawing with colorful chalks, clay molding, and paper cutting, children enjoyed taking part while upgrading their fine motor skills, concentration, hand-eye coordination and better memorizing the Arabic numbers.

Buddhist Lent 2024

The director, teachers and students of Sotpattana School for the Deaf, along with the children’s parents, joined together in the activity to promote Buddhism on Asahna Bucha Day and Buddhist Lent Day 2024.. They made merit with the offering of Buddhist Lent candles, rain bathing robes, and the four factors of Thai alms at Wat Nong Oo, Pattaya City.

Congratulations to Dr. Panrada Wongsin.. On behalf of the Pattaya Orphanage, Rev. Fr. Michael Weera Phangrak, along with Sr. Kongkham Surasiang, Head of our Babies’ Section, and Mr. Paul Somkiat Potiveryut, our registered nurse, visited the newly opened Happy Kids Clinic, located opposite to the Pattaya City Hospital, and congratulated Dr. May and wished her a great success and fulfillment. Support for the Setnoi Family

The management and staff members of the Pattaya Orphanage and Sotpattana School for the Deaf offered our sincere condolences to the Setnoi Family, esp. Mr. Phongsak and his brother Natthaphong, whose mother Thonglah recently passed away. Our representatives traveled to Chaiyaphum province to join the cremation ceremony and comforted the family. May your loving mother rest in peace.. May her family members be comforted and go through this difficult time with strength..

Consoling Our Colleague

Representatives of the Pattaya Orphanage and Sotpattana School for the Deaf joined the cremation of Mrs. Si Thongphaeng 93-year-old mother of our colleague Amphika at the temple in Nakhon Sawan province.  Prior to the event, some of our staff members and some former coworkers traveled to Khun Amphika’s home for the wake. Others offered support in different ways. Our prayers are for the departed and her peaceful repose. May loved ones she left behind be comforted and courageous..
