One of the weekend leisure activities for the older children at the Pattaya Orphanage is the “Three-String Art” project. This creative endeavor encouraged the youngsters to practice concentration while expressing their imagination and creativity in various forms. A simple yet meaningful activity, it allowed each child to freely share their perspectives and emotions through unique artistic expressions.

In Union with Dr. Krittawan

Representatives of the Pattaya Orphanage and Sotpattana School for the Deaf, led by Rev. Michael Weera Phangrak and Mr. Somkiat Potiverayut, joined the cremation of Dr. Krittawan Sarai’s father. Dr. Krittawan serves as Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Work and Social Welfare at Huachiew Chalermprakiet University, Samut Prakan province. Wai Khru Day 2025

Sotpattana School for kindergartners with disabilities organized a Wai Khru ceremony for the academic year 2025, adhering to a traditional Thai ritual designed for students to pay their respects to teachers. This ceremony serves as a means to express gratitude and to formalize the student-teacher relationship. Pre-school children of the Pattaya Orphanage participated in this significant event, which was presided over by Rev. Fr. Michael Weera Phangrak, the Acting Licensee and Manager of the School. School Director, Mrs. Angkhana Kamnoedtone, her teaching and staff personnel, and school board members, were actively encouraged to demonstrate resilience and joy in their roles as supporters of the children’s development, alongside the team of educators and caregivers of the Orphanage.

IEAC Teachers’ Accreditation

On the occasion of International Education Accreditation Council (IEAC) Teachers’ Accreditation, seven teachers of Sotpattana School were honored for their certificates of quality in teacher education management, awarded by IEAC, represented by Dr. Maurice Dimmock, President of Rose Education Foundation (REF), England. There were 5-star quality awards for Mrs. Saowanee Yodsuwan, Mrs. Sirigun Rattanarak, and Mr. Anirut Chaiycharoen; along with the 4-star quality awards for Mrs. Chotiwan Suksamran, Ms. Wilailak Phuthiamsri, Ms. Nipawan Srisat, and Ms. Suphanan Srinuan. Rev. Luechai Chanpo, Vicar General of the Diocese of Chanthaburi, was among us to congratulate all the awardees, the School and its administrators. May the bestowed teachers remain qualified and continue to progress.. Congrats to James and Family

Congratulations to Mr. Lawrence Nathaphon Pimsorn, also known as James, a former resident of the Pattaya Orphanage, on the wonderful beginning of his married life. He was baptized at St. Nicholas Church Pattaya, and entered into holy matrimony with Ms. Ilene Ruengdamrongwong. Representatives and members of the Pattaya Orphanage and Sotpattana School, along with our little preschoolers, came together to celebrate with James and his family. New Academic Year 2025

In the first week of academic year 2025, a group of 18 children in school age in the care of the Pattaya Orphanage started going to two nearby schools and one vocational college in the area. They are among the 58 in preschool in 16 educational institutions from kindergarten to university as well as non-formal education system across Thailand. To our benefactors and sponsors, thank you so much for helping the children with educational opportunities so that they could become happy and valuable members of the society..

For the new academic year 2025, Sister Maria Rapiphan Sawaddikan and Sister Bernadette Kanyarat Damrongtherdtham of the Lovers of the Cross of Chanthaburi Congregation have been assigned to serve children, disabled persons, and parishioners at the Pattaya Orphanage, Sotpattana School for the Deaf, and Saint Nikolaus Church Pattaya.. Meeting Parents of New Students 2025

Sotpattana School for the Deaf held the first parents’ meeting for the academic year 2025 on Friday, at the meeting room of the School. During the opening session, Acting Licensee and Manager – Rev. Michael Weera Phangrak – welcomed the participants and gave them encouragement as well as viewpoints on kids with special needs. Director Angkana Kamnoedthon ensured that our parents learn about school’s operations in various areas, including teaching and learning, a mutual understanding and related agreement between parents and the school.

At the annual reorganizing of assignments of members of the Lovers of the Cross of Chanthaburi Congregation, the Pattaya Orphanage, led by Fr. Michael Weera Phangrak, conveyed our sincere appreciation to Sister Kongkham Surasiang for her five years of devoted services in our babies’ rooms, while Sister Inthupha Phongsri for the two years she dedicated herself towards the care of our preschool children.
