Heartfelt Thanks

The Pattaya Orphanage held an internal thank-you party for all members, including personnel of our Sotpattana School, following the handing of special gifts to all the staff on Friday.. For this evening, participating guests included a few close friends, along with our Bishop while on his surprise visit. Children from preschool age, including those still in quarantine, enjoyed the meal and the dances. Teachers relaxed with music and karaoke after their hard work. The staff team responsible for a fund-raising project in support of the Orphanage’s 50th anniversary announced the total collected from among staffers of all departments over the past 12 months. May everyone be abundantly blessed as we continue to care for children and disabled persons entrusted to us, as well as each other..

Annual Conference on Adoption 2025

During March 20-21, 2025, Ms. Pemika Naksud, Social Worker, and Ms. Lakkana Poonjaroen, Adoption Officer, represented the Pattaya Orphanage in the “International Adoption Process Development and Capacity Building Conference in collaboration with Four Child Welfare Organizations” in Ayutthaya Province. The event focused on refining operational procedures, fostering interagency cooperation, and enhancing best practices in international adoption. This initiative serves as a crucial platform for strengthening professional collaboration and ensuring the highest standards of adoption services. The foundation remains committed to implementing the insights gained to improve long-term outcomes for children awaiting loving families.

Learning about Japanese Culture

School-aged children at the Pattaya Orphanage learned about Japanese culture from Ms. Junko Noda and her friend Dentist Sakamon Chanseewong, or Dr. Took, from Sriracha, during the long school break. On top of the writing of their own names in Japanese language, our young chefs learned to cook rice in a pot and make rice balls, sandwiched with salmon and pickled plums.. 50th Anniversary

To mark the 50th Anniversary of the Children’s Home Foundation Pattaya, or better known as the Pattaya Orphanage, the organizing committee set Friday 14th March 2025 for the Eucharistic Celebration (Holy Mass) as the highlight with Most Reverend Philip Adisak Phorn-Ngam, Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Chanthaburi, as main celebrant. Most Reverend Philip Adisak Phorn-Ngam, who was congratulated as the new Bishop of Chanthaburi Diocese on this occasion, presented Plaques of Appreciation to three Religious Congregations, i.e. the Redemptorist Province of Thailand, with Rev. Raymond A. Brennan CSsR, supporting as the first manager of the Pattaya Orphanage until his passing in 2003, and the management by Fr. Brennan’s successors until 2007; the Sisters of Saint Paul of Chartres: Early years of support with child care; and the Lovers of the Cross of Chanthaburi: Support with child care until present. There was also a presentation of souvenirs to 13 personnel who worked until their retirements during the past five decades. For the Sriwuwan Family

The management and staff members of the Pattaya Orphanage and Sotpattana School for the Deaf offered our sincere condolences to the Srisuwan family, esp. Ms. Mukda Srisuwan, whose mother Sawaeng recently passed away. During the funeral, our representatives participated in the wake services and cremation ceremony and comforted the family at Najomtien Temple, Sattahip. May your beloved mother rest in peace.. May her family members be comforted and go through this difficult time with strength..

High School Graduation

At Yanisa’s high school graduation from Dhammajarinee Witthaya School, Ratchaburi Province, Teacher Tiew represented all members of the Pattaya Orphanage in congratulating her, knowing the great effort she has put into her education and her desire to further her study in the undergraduate level.. Graduates of Academic Year 2024

On Wednesday, March 5m 2025, Mrs. Angkana Kamnoedthon, Director of Sotpattana School for the Deaf, presented certificates to nine graduates, or Level 3 kindergartners who have completed their early childhood education. Five students were with hearing impairment, three with autism, and one with intellectual disability. One among them actually received his certificate earlier than others due to his parents’ obligation on March 5.   On this occasion, the attendees congratulated the five students who received awards for their academic performance for the school year 2024 which ended in March 2025. The Levels 1 and 2 preschoolers also congratulated their seniors and the awardees with performances on stage. At the end, Rev. Michael Weera Phangrak, the School’s Acting Licensee and Manager, handed scholarships and supporting fund to deaf students and teachers on behalf of the Foundation for the Deaf under the Royal Patronage of the Queen Mother, and gave encouragement to all parents and teachers during his closing speech.   Thanks to all parents, representatives of Father Ray School for Children with Special Needs, Pattaya Redemptorist School for the Blind, and all the benefactors, including Khun Bernard Mueller, who always support the school’s work.. Seeing Fr. Joe Off

It’s the day Rev. Francis Xavier Kritsada Sukkaphat, Deputy Director of the Pattaya Orphanage, traveled to Australia. Members of our home and the Sotpattana School for the Deaf gathered to send him off at the start of his journey from Pattaya. Then, our representatives wished him “safe journey” at Suvarnabhumi International Airport.. May God bless his journey and throughout the mission..

2nd I-Love-Reading

Sotpattana School for the Deaf organized the 2nd I-Love-Reading Activity for the second study term of Year 2024-2025 with the students moving around in the compound with their teachers while practicing the spelling of verbs on the flash cards posted in different spots.

Making Merit on Makha Bucha Day
