Workshop on Identity and Self-Direction

The Child Welfare Department of the Pattaya Orphanage, for organizing a workshop for 19 of our students from primary to university levels on the topic “Identity and Self-Direction: Knowing Yourself and Shaping Your Life Path through Honesty to Self and Others,” with Ms. Chutikan Inthim, a counseling psychologist, as the guest speaker, sharing valuable insights on self-identity, self-honesty, interpersonal honesty, and life direction to help our children grow with purpose and integrity.. Workshop on Teaching Techniques for Children with Special Needs

Sotpattana School for preschoolers with disabilities organized a workshop on teaching techniques for children with special needs, with Ms. Sirilak Pong-santia from the Faculty of Education, Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, as the guest speaker. The training provided our teachers and staff with valuable insights and practical skills to enhance the learning and development of our children.. Vietnamese Rice Paper Crab Wontons

Our older children at the Pattaya Orphanage made good use of their school break by practicing life skills in an activity making “Crab Stick Wontons using Vietnamese Rice Paper, with Teacher Tiew and Teacher Nat leading the session. The kids learned to wrap and deep-fry the crispy snacks under the guidance of their teachers, showing great focus and joy as they enjoyed the delicious results of their handiwork.. Achievement, Good Conducts, Perseverance

The Pattaya Orphanage honored 24 school-aged kids with outstanding achievements, i.e. higher than 3.0 out of 4.0, with good conducts, or perseverance.. Awards were presented to Koko (3.91 ranking 1st in his department), Jean (3.87), Nadda, (3.86), Saifah (3.80), Mint (3.56), Captain (3.55), Dao (3.48), Nu-Noo (3.42), Toh (3.35), Fon (3.30), Meow (3.10), August (3.04), Khwan (3.03), and Thanwa (30.1), while Moei, Thiewkhao, Leo, Nicky, Hope, Kalaya, Boom, Yanisa, Un, and Trinetr received rewards for their perseverance. We also acknowledged the contribution of senior members with disabilities, esp. Man, Worrachat, and Wanlop, with appreciative gifts on this occasion.

Annual Excursion 2026

A group of 23 school-age children under the care of the Pattaya Orphanage, accompanied by five teachers and staff, totaling 28 members, traveled to Chanthaburi Province for an educational and recreational field trip during their summer break. Led by Fr. Francis Xavier Kritsada Sukkaphat, the party explored the natural beauty of Namtok Phlio National Park, enjoyed activities at Ploen Chan Homestay, and visited Oasis Sea World in Laem Sing District. This outing provided the children with wonderful memories, joy, and valuable learning experiences outside the classroom.. Special thanks to our benefactor in the USA who named this event “Little Luke’s Day” in honor of his Mom’s birthday on April 25.. Congratulations to the Birthday Girl!

For the Sitthiprapha Family

The management and staff of the Pattaya Orphanage and Sotpattana School for preschoolers with disabilities express our deepest condolences on the passing of Mrs. Wilai Sitthiprapha, the mother of Ms. Thitapha Sitthiprapha, or Teacher Tiew, our Head of Child Welfare. Between 24 and 26 April 2026, our representatives traveled to attend the funeral prayers and participated in the Royal Cremation Ceremony on 27 April 2026 at Wat In Choo Si, Sai Khao Subdistrict, Soi Dao District, Chanthaburi Province, to pay our final respects and honor her memory. We remain grateful for her kindness and virtue, and our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this time of loss..

A Wonderful Beach Trip

Kindergarten and early elementary children from the Pattaya Orphanage traveled together for a vacation at Sai Kaew Beach, Sattahip. The Naval Rating School, Naval Education Department, kindly facilitated the trip and waived the expenses for the little ones. The 39 children were under the care of 20 teachers, caregivers, and volunteers, and enjoyed a new experience during the fun and exciting time. We would like to thank the Naval Rating School, Director Angkhana Kamnoedthon, or Teacher Noo of our Sotpatthana School, and esp. the benefactor in the United States of America who named this event “Little Luke’s Day” in honor of his Mom’s birthday on April 25.. Congratulations to the Birthday Girl!

Saturated on Wan Lai 2026

Children from toddler’s age and older, including disabled persons, along with staff members of the Pattaya orphanage joined in the splashes of Pattaya’s Wan Lai 2026, marking the end of Songkran Festival in the area.. It was great fun for all even though the littlest ones only played inside our reception area.. Thanks and best wishes to all supporters for the water pistols, food and beverages at both lunch and dinner, as well as the site preparation that made this year’s event extra special..

Happy Family Day 2026

Members of the Pattaya an event held Orphanage family gathered to observe the Thai New Year through our annual Family Day 2026, every year in an atmosphere filled with smiles and warmth, beginning this year with a graceful Baisri Su-Kwan dance performed by our primary and lower-secondary students to welcome honored guests and family members, followed by the traditional water-pouring ceremony where child representatives presented hand garlands to Fr. Michael Weera Phangrak, the presiding officer, as well as the Sisters and our special guests, to express gratitude and receive Thai New Year blessings, before concluding with an exhortation from Fr. Weera, who encouraged everyone to remain strong in spirit and keep their hearts as cool and refreshing as water despite the summer heat, as we all shared a simple yet joyful dinner together..
