Birthday Greetings to Our Two Bishops

Members of the Pattaya Orphanage and Sotpattana School for preschoolers with disabilities, led by Rev. Michael Weera Phangrak, gathered to offer birthday greetings to Most Reverend Philip Adisak Phorn-Ngam, Bishop of Chanthaburi Diocese, and Most Reverend Silvio Siripong Charatsri, Bishop of Ratchaburi Diocese. Train Trip & Sea Turtles Conservation

Sotpattana School for preschool kids with disabilities organized a study tour, taking 28 students by train from Pattaya Station to Chuk Samet Station to visit the Royal Thai Navy Sea Turtle Conservation Center in Sattahip. Children learned together with 31 kindergarteners from the Pattaya Orphanage, under the care of 32 teachers, parents, caregivers, and volunteers. Thanks to everyone, including the FAB group in Europe, led by Mr. Bernard Muller, who supported most of the expenses.

Loy Krathong Day 2025

Sotpattana School for preschoolers with disabilities organized the annual Loy Krathong Day 2025 activity to mark Thailand’s cherished traditions and cultural heritage. In cooperation with the Pattaya Orphanage, the children joyfully learned how to make their own “Krathongs” using various materials, decorating them with flowers, incense, and candles. Before the activities began, teachers and students stood together in silent tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, The Queen Mother, expressing their heartfelt gratitude for Her boundless benevolence. Afterwards, the children dressed in beautiful traditional Thai costumes from different eras and gathered around the pond to float their krathongs, filling the atmosphere with smiles, laughter, and warmth. The toddler’s age and preschooler children from the Pattaya Orphanage also joined this joyful celebration.

Remembering Beloved Departed

Representatives of the Pattaya Orphanage joined the blessing of the cemetery of St. Nikolaus Church Pattaya at the 2025 annual ceremony, and remembered our beloved departed in a special way today. Playing in the Sea

At the end of the mid-term break for the 2025 academic year, 55 children and people with disabilities under the care of the Pattaya Orphanage, ranging in age from preschool levels and up, enjoyed a relaxing time at Yin Yom Beach in Pattaya. Playing in the sea, surrounded by nature, despite the onset of winter in Thailand, brought joy to all the children. For the Mekarun Family

The management and staff members of the Pattaya Orphanage and Sotpattana School for preschoolers with disabilities offered our sincere condolences on the passing of Mrs. Thongdee Krannasoot, beloved mother of Ms. Wipharat Mekarun (Nok), from the Nutrition Department. Recently, our home took part as graciously hosted for the funeral prayer ceremony, Nong Chap Tao Temple, Sattahip. The cremation took place on 15th October. Our heartfelt prayers go to the late Mrs. Thongdee for eternal peace, and may her family find comfort, strength, and serenity during this time of loss.

Annual Fire Evacuation Drill 2025 – Together for Safety

The Pattaya Orphanage, by the Maintenance Department, organized a training and fire The Pattaya Orphanage, by the Maintenance Department, organized a training and fire drill for new staff members. The session included lessons about using fire extinguishers and understanding what to do in case of a fire. During the drill, we simulated a fire situation on the fourth floor of our five-story building. This exercise helped everyone learn important safety measures. We also included residents and users of the building in the drill, including children from preschool age and older, as well as the teachers from the Sotpattana School for preschoolers with disabilities, who participated twice. Our staff worked diligently to ensure everyone was safe during the practice, especially when using the fire escape and moving to the Assembly Point. Thank you to all involved, especially the Pattaya City Land Disaster Prevention Department officers, the instructors who provided both theoretical and practical knowledge, and to Mr. Chakkrit Panyakaew, Head of the Maintenance Department, and his team for all the preparations. We are grateful to everyone involved for their support and commitment to keeping our home and community safe.
