Rain, Are You Coming Yet?
Sotpattana School held a simulation activity with the learning unit “Rain, Are You Coming Yet?” in the 6th week of the first semester. The preschool children with disabilities learned about the rainy season through the talk about the current weather during the rainy season. They also learned about equipment used during the rainy season, such as umbrellas, raincoats, boots, and other items that help protect against getting wet from the rain. In addition, children learned how to take care of themselves, e.g. using an umbrella, wearing a raincoat, and drying themselves after getting wet. In the simulation, the children participated in role-playing, learning through hands-on activities, which helped them better understand and remember how to protect themselves during the rainy season. Today’s activities promoted experiential learning, developed observation skills, analytical thinking, and self-care in daily life. Participants had fun with the activities and learned new things happily throughout the event.
